Alston Moor Crafts

“buy local, buy handmade … a weekend full of fine crafts, arts, food & music”

Friday, 24th Nov from 10am to 4pm

Saturday, 25th Nov from 10am to 5pm

Sunday, 26th Nov from 11am to 4pm

It’s hard to believe that Alston’s Craft Fair started 25 years ago in 1992 and is still going strong, hopefully with the same ethos and quality local handmade produce.
This year, as well as some of our regular stallholders, we are delighted to have some new faces and the variety and number of stalls guarantee there will be something that appeals to everyone, whatever budget and taste.  We hope this year’s fair will be live up to previous years.

Make a dent in that Christmas shopping list … and where better to buy Christmas gifts with a difference or even commission something directly from some of the best designers/makers in the North Pennines, including ceramics, pottery, glassware, prints, jewellery, wood, knitwear, textiles … plus local food and drink producers.

The weekend as always will be laid back, with a lively and vibrant atmosphere, full of colour, excellent design and style. Alston’s Moody Baker will be serving delicious savouries and sweet delights in the Chaos Café to tempt the taste buds and catch up with old friends. Some of our very talented local musicians will provide live music throughout the weekend.

What a better way to get in the Christmas spirit !

Alston Moor Crafts is a non-profit making community group formed to cultivate and promote high quality produce in Alston Moor and the surrounding area.  Their principle activity is to organise and run the Christmas Craft Fair which is held at Alston’s Town Hall, which is done by a small group of local people, who do this on a voluntary basis to ensure the Christmas Craft Fair, which has been running since 1992 continues. As you can imagine it takes quite a bit of organising and we are always looking for new people to join our group, so if you’d like to get involved, please get in touch with us via the Contact Us page.
